mBPCR: A Package for DNA Copy Number Profile Estimation

Abstract

The algorithm mBPCR is a tool for estimating the profile of the log2ratio of copy number data. The procedure is a Bayesian piecewise constant regression and can be applied, generally, to estimate any piecewise constant function (like the log2ratio of the copy number data). The algorithm has been implemented in R and integrated into bioconductor, an open source software for bioinformatics. This document describes how to use the mBPCR bioconductor package in general and on several examples.
