An automatic feature-based face recognition system

Abstract

In this paper a completely automatic face recognition system is presented. The method, working on color images, determines 19 facial fiducial points, and characterizes them applying a bank of Gabor filters. The system is inspired by the Elastic Bunch Graph method proposed by Wiskott et al., but it is completely automatic and computationally more efficient.
